2016: Golf and Alpine Experience

The Sixth Annual Messenger Cup is taking on a new identity. But don’t worry—we’re not losing the fun, quality time, and Kingdom impact. Golfers and non-golfers alike will enjoy panels, events, and world-class amenities, all while supporting outreach work around the world.

The Messenger Cup two-day golf tournament will take place on the East and West courses at the five-star Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs. But this year, for those of you who prefer non-golf adventures, we’ve added an Alpine track involving world-class zip lines and mountain biking in the Broadmoor’s backyard: the great Rockies.

Last year, the generosity and faith of our guests impacted millions of lives through leadership development and anti-trafficking initiatives. There’s much more still to come. We look forward to what we will do together in 2016!

The Tournament

The Messenger Cup is a two-man scramble on the beautiful East and West Courses of The Broadmoor. After the first day is complete, several flights will be created to make sure everyone has a shot at first place. This tournament is for every type of golfer, from the PGA Tour pro to the amateur who simply enjoys chasing his little white ball through beautiful foliage. Let us know if you do not have a partner—we will be more than happy to set you up with one!

The Alpine Experience

Begin your experience with a zip line exploration in the canyons above The Broadmoor Seven Falls with eight thrilling zip lines ranging in length from 300 to 1,800 feet and a rappel that provides stunning views of the canyon. This spectacular (and safe) guided adventure ends at the foot of Seven Falls where you will enjoy a lunch at The Broadmoor’s Restaurant 1858.

The adventure continues on day two with a guided mountain bike trip down an old 1800s railway trail. With gravity on your side (the trip is almost completely downhill), you’ll be able to enjoy picturesque views of Pike National Forest and Cheyenne Canyon. All biking equipment is included.

The Broadmoor Resort is the longest-running consecutive winner of both the AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards. The 5-star Colorado Springs resort is located on 3,000 lush acres under the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain and offers an award-winning day spa, fitness center, two swimming pools, three outdoor hot tubs, one lap pool; 54 holes of championship golf, six tennis courts with tennis camps; 24-hour room service, valet parking, and 24 specialty retail shops.
